Garden’s Edge – ceramic workshop
Come along and create a clay figure of yourself, a friend, family member or imaginary person and contribute to ceramicist Katharine Morling’s mini installation. FREE, Sat & Sun, 12-5pm. maximum of 6 people at a time on a first-come, first-served basis. Adults & children age 5+, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Sustainable Craft Picks
Eco design expert Oliver Heath has selected designer-maker businesses at Cockpit Arts with sustainability at the heart of their practice. Selected designers across our two sites include: ‘The Sustainable Wood Turner’ Eleanor Lakelin, ‘The Mistresses of Up-Cycled Teasewear’ Holloway Smith Noir, ‘The Eco Textile Printer’ Tamasyn Gambell and ‘The Ethical Jeweller’ Ute Decker.
Hand Made Food pop-up café
Relax and enjoy summer cocktails, eclectic salads, savouries and sweet treats by Ferg and his fabulous team at Hand Made Food. The menu is local, free range, seasonal and mainly sourced from small growers and producers in the UK.
Special showcases
Some of our Alumni are back with new work especially for Open Studios. Also glass artist Aline Johnson has created a Leaf Cascade installation featuring ‘leaves’ in a variety of materials by a number of other Cockpit Arts’ designer-makers.
