To get you started here is an introduction to a few we have worked with, but please note that we will not be updating this information:

 

Arts Council England
A great way to find out more about craft events, news and resources in your region is to visit the 'My Region' section of the Arts Council England website.

a-n
The website for the Artist's Information Company and artists newsletter publication (a-n) contains a wealth of information for artists and artisans - including a fantastic 'Knowledge Bank' for subscribers.

British Fashion Council
The British Fashion Council promotes leading British fashion designers to an intensely competitive global market. Log on to find out about their initiatives, resources and London Fashion Week events.

Crafts Council
The Crafts Council is the UK's national organisation for the promotion of contemporary crafts and their website is a one-stop-shop for all things craft. Particularly useful is the Craft Directory which has an extensive list of makers, organisations and opportunities.

Crafts Magazine
This bi-monthly glossy is packed with craft events across the UK as well as news, opinion and a little bit of gossip from the world of contemporary craft. There are snippets online too – including a blog by the editorial team.

Creative & Cultural Sector Skills
For anyone interested in getting into the creative industry Creative & Cultural Sector Skills has put together an excellent Creative Choices website packed with lively information and films.

Design Council
The Design Council believes design can help people to do what they do, better. Log on to their website to find out their views on how design can play a vital role in strengthening our economy and improving our society.

Slow Down London
Hand crafted processes can take time, but produce exquisite results – so we are delighted to be part of Slow Down London. This project is set to inspire Londoners to improve their lives by slowing down to do things well.

DCMS
DCMS aims to improve the quality of life for all through cultural and sporting activities. If you want to find out more about craft as an industry, view their analysis mapping out the UK craft sector's economic performance.

Global Action Plan
The Maker Difference campaign promotes a more sustainable way to live and shop, through investing in beautifully made pieces to be treasured and kept. Action Plan delivers tangible environmental, social and financial improvements. Log on to find out about further small changes that have a big impact on the things that matter.

Head for Business
We are working with this community interest company in Deptford to expand access to our creative-business incubator. Log onto their website to find out how they champion enterprise as a model for empowering communities and tackling social problems.

Hidden Art
Working with networks in London and Cornwall - Hidden Art is dedicated to revealing the wealth of UK design at its source. Log onto their website for information and events.

London Design Festival
The London Design Festival was established to celebrate and promote London as the creative capital of the world and gateway to the UK's world-class creative community. Visit the website to find out about their latest events and news.

NADFAS
We have been working with the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies [NADFAS] to help support designer-makers who keep traditional craft skills alive. Visit their website to find out more about their work, including special courses and events.
